The 9th annual Blue Ribbon Rally was held September 28. This year we raised over $27,000 and after expenses were able to donate $17,200 to Idaho2Fly and $3,035 to The Prostate Cancer Foundation for prostate cancer research! Thanks to our wonderful committee that spent a lot of hours helping us put our car show together! This year we had almost 170 cars and turned away many more! Looking forward to next year, hoping you will join us!
Congratulations to Norma Cornelison for winning the 7-Night Alaskan Cruise!

8th Annual Idaho2Fly Reunion Dinner
On Saturday, November 23, we hosted our 8th Annual Idaho2Fly Reunion Dinner—a heartfelt evening dedicated to reconnecting retreat guests, families, and our community.
Nearly 100 guests, family members, and volunteers gathered to share stories, laughter, and memories while enjoying a relaxing evening together. This special event provided an opportunity to celebrate the impact of Idaho2Fly retreats, giving attendees a chance to reflect on their experiences and share the significance of these retreats with loved ones.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the evening unforgettable!
Registration for our 2025 Retreats is now open
As we close the 2024 Idaho2Fly retreat season, we are proud to share that over the course of our four retreats, we hosted 56 men with cancer with the dedicated support of 72 volunteers.
Our mission to empower men affected by cancer through community, adventure, and reflection remains at the heart of every experience we create. Now, with the 2025 season officially open, we invite new participants to join us on a transformative journey in the year ahead. We look forward to welcoming participants for another year of growth, support, and healing.
Volunteering Time, Talent & Treasure: Meet Scott Blackhurst
Scott has volunteered for Idaho2Fly for 11 years. He currently volunteers as a fishing friend for men attending our retreats and has also served as a quartermaster helping to create and supply fly boxes for each retreat quest.
Scott writes: “I have so many fond memories that it's hard to come up with just one. Several years ago at a Wild Horse Creek Ranch retreat, I met a guest who had terminal cancer. He said he had always wanted to learn to tie flies, so we finished the day tying flies, talking and laughing. He was a natural. I taught him how to tie flies and he taught me that life is precious and to make the most of each day. It was an honor to have known this brave and kind-hearted soul.”
✍ Volunteering at Idaho2Fly
We need support across many areas of Idaho2Fly, from organizing activities and coordinating guest services to fundraising, marketing, and even photography or videography. If you have specific skills in these areas—or others—please let us know when you complete your application!
If you don’t have particular expertise, that’s okay too. All we truly need is a positive, can-do attitude and a genuine desire to support men with cancer. Every contribution makes a difference!

💵 Contribution using your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD)
As you plan your year-end giving, consider using your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) from your IRA to make a tax-advantaged contribution to Idaho2Fly. By donating directly from your IRA, you can meet your RMD requirement while supporting our mission. It’s a meaningful way to help men facing cancer. Please consult your financial advisor to explore this option.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of the 2025 2Fly Derby. For many years, this event has been a cornerstone of Idaho2Fly and a cherished tradition for our community. After thoughtful consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to pause the event next year.
This time away will allow us to reimagine and redefine the Derby, ensuring it comes back stronger, more impactful, and better than ever in 2026. We deeply appreciate your understanding and continued support as we work to make future events even more memorable.
Thank you for standing with us as we evolve to serve our mission more effectively. Stay tuned for updates and exciting plans for 2026!
